Our Achievements

Dhruv Achievement in Last five years:

  • Enrolled 4835 children in Anganwadi Centers in the last five years. We ensured these children were registered in Anganwadi Centers, providing them with early childhood education and nutrition.
  • Facilitated admission of 2301 children to schools in last five years. We actively supported the enrollment these children into formal schools during Pravesh utsav, ensuring they have access to quality education.
  • Identified and supported 2687 irregular students to ensure regular school participation. For the children facing irregular attendance, we intervened to establish consistent school attendance, ensuring they receive a continuous education.
  • Assisted 865 school dropouts to re-engage with education. We reached out to 865 children who had dropped out of school, providing them with the necessary support to rejoin and continue their education.
  • Conducted 1545 visits to schools to monitor educational activities and proper implementation of RTE . Through these school visits, we ensured that educational activities and facilities were in place, creating an environment conducive to learning.
  • Attended 36 SMC meetings and participated in preparing school development plan.
  • Conducted 2317 visits to Anganwadi centers, monitoring execution of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) provisions. Main focus is on ensuring children receive quality early education, and provisions of balanced meals and snacks are accordance with ICDS guidelines. Additionally, the team emphasizes hygiene, growth tracking, and parental involvement (Mata Samitti) while offering training and constructive feedback to enhance Anganwadi workers’ capacities.
  • Attended 67 Mata samitti Meetings and guided parents on their roles and responsibilities.
  • Identified and reported 1643 malnourished children to relevant government authorities for necessary intervention and support, ensuring they received the necessary intervention and support for their well-being.
  • Organized 16 Bal Mela events, providing a platform for children to showcase their talents and learn in a fun-filled environment. 
  • Provided sponsorship to 72 deserving adolescent girls of single mothers from financially weak background, enabling them access to higher educational opportunities and essential resources. 
  • Established 58 Child Group formations, engaging a total of 792 children. These child groups serve as platforms for child participation, fostering camaraderie, aiding education through bridge programs, and nurturing leadership skills while advocating for child rights.
  • The Dhruv team successfully conducted outreach programs in vulnerable areas of four districts in Gujarat, namely Sabarkantha, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar. Through these programs, a total of 125,232 individuals were sensitized about Child Rights, various types of violations of Child Rights, benefits of government schemes for children, and the Child Helpline number.

Case Intervention

  • Dhruv Team provided medical assistance and support in 577 cases, ensuring children’s health needs were addressed promptly.
  • Facilitated safe shelter provision in government institutions through CWC order for 24 children facing homelessness or unsafe living conditions, providing them with a stable environment.
  • Intervened in 511 cases of child abuse, swiftly removing children from harmful situations and ensuring their safety.
  • Facilitated access to education in 635 cases, advocating for enrolment, addressing educational challenges, and ensuring children could continue their studies.
  • Assisted in obtaining sponsorship for 521 children, providing financial support by linking them with government sponsorship scheme to meet their basic needs and educational expenses.
  • Intervened in 132 cases of child marriage, preventing early marriages and safeguarding children’s rights.
  • Assisted in locating and reuniting 113 missing children with their families, ensuring their well-being and safety through proper government channels. 
  • Addressed the concerns of 29 parents seeking assistance, offering support and guidance in various challenging situations.
  • Provided counselling and emotional support and guidance to children facing various issues in 299 cases, helping them cope with their challenges.
  • Dhruv Team facilitated in getting 1595 children in getting Adhar card, adding name in ration card, facilitating government scheme benefits etc. and provided appropriate support tailored to their unique situations.
  • Intervened 299 cases of child labour, rescuing children from exploitative work environments and advocating for their rights to education and safety.
  • Rescued 143 children from the dangers of begging, providing them with alternative support and rehabilitation.
  • Team intervened 2 cases of child trafficking, ensuring the immediate safety, well-being and rehabilitation of the affected children.
  • Dhruv Team responded to 3182 cases related to the Covid-19 pandemic, providing necessary support and resources like ration kits, medicines etc. to affected children and families during this challenging time.
