How we do

Public awareness campaigns to raise awareness among community members, public, service providers, decision makers; communicating with them about the challenges and threats being confronted by children
  • Dhruv conducts awareness campaigns on child rights in communities, schools, and other public spaces. These campaigns focus on educating people about the different types of child rights, the challenges and threats that children face, and what people can do to protect children’s rights.
  • Dhruv also distributes pamphlets and paste posters regarding Child rights awareness in communities, schools, and government agencies.
  • We organise workshops and training programs for community members, service providers, and government officials on child rights issues. These workshops and training programs teach people about the different types of child rights, how to identify and report cases of child rights violations, and how to support children who have been affected by child rights violations.
Promoting the Rights of Children
  • Dhruv promotes the rights of children at the local, state, and national levels by advocating for the development and implementation of policies and programs that promote child rights. Dhruv also work with civil society organizations to raise awareness of child rights issues and to advocate for the rights of children.
  • We also work in building the capacity of community members to promote and protect child rights. For example, Dhruv trains community members (Volunteers) on how to identify and report cases of child rights violations, and how to support children who have been affected by child rights violations.
Increasing the accountability of institutions and individuals
  • Dhruv strives to increase the accountability of institutions and individuals by monitoring the implementation of child rights laws and policies, and by investigating cases of child rights violations.
  • We also work to build the capacity of community members to monitor the implementation of child rights laws and policies, and to report cases of child rights violations.
  • We also work to hold perpetrators of child rights violations accountable by working with concerned govt. departments.
Co-creating innovative solutions through partnership with local organizations, government agencies and private enterprises
  • We have partnered with local organizations, Child rights network like Child rights collective Gujarat(CRCG), government agencies, and private enterprises to develop and implement innovative solutions to child rights problems.
  • For example, Dhruv conducts rescue operation on agriculture farms with Labour department to rescue and rehabilitate child labour.
  • By including awareness for the community in its activities, Dhruv- Child Rights organisation helps to ensure that all children are aware of their rights and that they know how to protect themselves from child rights violations. Dhruv also help to build a community that is supportive of children and their rights.
